Emily Allen has a fairly average life: her best friend Elena is great, she has a loving (yet self-destructive) older sister Lily, and she has a nice friend-turned-boyfriend, Jack. Then Lily attempts to commit suicide for unexplained reasons and ends up in a rehabilitation clinic and things begin to go downhill when Emily meets a girl named Violet, who takes Emily under her wings and isolates her from her friends and family. While Elena's life spirals downwards and Lily struggles with her self-image, Violet drags Emily further and further into darkness...
1.01 "Everyone"
Lily's in the hospital, Emily has a new neighbor and Elena and Jack won't stop bickering. Meet the gang in 1.01 "Everyone".
1.02 "Lily"
Lily doesn't mind being locked up in a clinic, as long as Emily, Jack and Elena visit her frequently. When she and her new friend Pippa decide to sneak away from the clinic for a night out, Lily's personal turmoil with her self-image appears again and Lily turns to Pippa for comfort. Meanwhile, Elena's old friend Luke returns to town.

Violet can't trick everyone. But she can trick Emily...

Elena is at her breaking point, not that anyone's around to notice. Emily is off in her own world and Elena doesn't know who to turn to for help. But soon an old childhood crush rears its ugly head again and Elena's opinion of herself sinks lower and lower with each passing moment.

Emily's world is becoming a strange, sad one. She's isolated and alone and Violet keeps pulling her under deeper and deeper. She's desperate for a way out, but how?

The rehabilitation clinch is angry with Pippa. She's up to her old ways and Lily is worried and plans to stop her before she goes too far...

When Violet goes down, so does Emily. And when Violet goes down, she doesn't go down without a fight, not even if it means hurting Emily in the process.

Exams are over and Luke has something to tell Elena. Lily's out of the hospital, Jack's feeling fine and Pippa's feeling much better. But something is up with Emily...
